Union Square Farmers Market

I've mentioned before that the fresher the produce you purchase, the more nutrients.  So, what better way to get your hands on the freshest of the fresh veggies and fruits?  A farmer's market!

Schedule for Union Square:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday
8:00am - 6:00pm

Special Activities:

Monday
-GrowNYC's Textile Recycling collects unwanted clothing and textiles and arranges for them to be recycled.
-Kitchen scrap collection for composting by LES Ecology Center (8am-5pm).
-Greenmarket Education Station hosts school tours, cooking demonstrations, interactive displays, tastings, and peer-to-peer programming.

Wednesday
-FREE cooking advice from Josh Stokes of Grill-A-Chef (9am-12pm).
-Kitchen scrap collection for composting by LES Ecology Center (8am-5pm).
-Greenmarket Education Station activities - back in April!

Friday
